Agents

What makes kvbox easy to drive from a script or an AI agent.

A box is a safe place to hand to an agent: a real VM, its own kernel, nothing of the host visible inside. The CLI is shaped so an agent can drive it without parsing prose.

--json everywhere

Every command that lists or creates something takes --json and prints one object (or an array). The shape is documented at the top of each command's source file.

kvbox new --json
kvbox ls --json
kvbox snapshots ls --json
kvbox exec dev --json -- make      # {"output": "...", "exit_code": N}
kvbox server status --json

Exit codes

kvbox exec exits with the command's status (124 after --timeout). Errors the user should see go to stderr as one line and a non-zero exit; a feature that is not built yet exits 2.

No prompts in scripts

Destructive commands (rm, snapshots rm) ask y/N on a terminal and require -y otherwise. kvbox login --password-stdin reads the password from stdin.

This site as text

/llms.txt lists every docs page with its description and URL, for an agent that reads the documentation.
