The easiest way
to start a real VM.
Install the CLI, run kvbox new, and a fresh virtual machine is yours in seconds. Give it to your agents, deploy a website or an API, or spin up a lab and test an app.
Give your agent
a whole machine.
Hand an agent its own VM instead of your laptop. Every listing and creating command takes --json, and exec hands back the exit code, so an agent can drive kvbox as easily as you do.
- kvbox new
- kvbox connect
- kvbox exec
- kvbox ls
- kvbox rm
Real VMs, not containers
Every box is a microVM with its own kernel. Run an agent, untrusted code or a whole Docker stack inside, and whatever happens stays in the box.
Boots in seconds
A fresh box is up in seconds. A warm clone from a snapshot is running in about 0.3s, every process already up.
Snapshot = image
Freeze a running box, memory and disk, and start new boxes from it already warm. Like an image, but with live state.
Set up once.
Start warm forever.
Install your toolchain, start your dev server, load the repo. Then freeze the whole box and fork it as many times as you need, with every process still running.
Boot and set up
Create a box and set it up once: tools, repo, containers, whatever the job needs.
Freeze it
Save memory, CPU state and disk as a named snapshot. The box pauses for about a second and keeps running, and the snapshot only stores what the box touched.
Start warm
Clones come up in about 0.3s under a new name and IP, with tools installed and every process still running.
Start a box for anything.
Disposable
Spin up many boxes in parallel. Destroy them when the job's done.
Deploy a website or an API
A box is an ordinary Linux machine that keeps running after you log out. Install nginx, start your API, leave it up.
Pause, resume, hibernate
pause keeps RAM and resumes instantly. hibernate puts the box away and wake brings it back in well under a second, days later if you like.
Usage and cost per box
kvbox vm usage shows how long a box ran, slept or sat stopped, in vCPU and GiB hours, so you know what each box costs you.
Agent-friendly CLI
Every command has --json. Your agents can parse it as easily as you can read it.
A lab in a box
Start a few Docker containers, test an app against them, and throw the box away. Your laptop stays clean.
More for every box.
Public URLs per box
Reach any box at {name}.kvbox.sh.
Boxes that sleep on their own
An idle box hibernates by itself; kvbox connect wakes it.
Volumes
Extra disks you attach to a box, and keep when the box goes.
